Akadon McIntosh's recent performance at the Nexa GUT St. Patrick's Branch Primary School Meet held Thursday Feb 15 2024 at the Fond Playing Field suggests he's primed for a big showing at the upcoming National Primary School Games.

McIntosh a student at the Hermitage Government School ensured that fans of HGS had more than a few reasons to cheer at the St. Patrick's Meet. He swept the sprint events, claiming gold in the 60m, 100m, and 200m races. Particularly impressive was his 100m victory, achieved in a scorching time of 13.8 seconds, a time that puts him that much closer to the Primary School Championship record of 13.55s set by Carifta medalist Ethan Sam in 2017.

The upcoming National Primary School Games, scheduled for March 6th and 7th at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium, provide the perfect platform for McIntosh to make his mark on the national stage. With his evident talent and recent form, he's undoubtedly one of the frontrunners in the Under-11 category. While predicting future athletic achievements is never without its caveats, McIntosh's potential is undeniable. His dedication, as evidenced by his school and training commitments, coupled with his natural ability, make him a force to be reckoned with. It will be exciting to see him compete against the best young athletes in Grenada and witness if he can rise to the occasion and potentially rewrite the national record books.
